Meet the girl behind the chair

Welcome to Jammin' Hair Studio—where passion for hair meets a lifelong dream fulfilled.

At 11, I knew I was destined for the hair industry. It all began with mimicking my sister's every move, even her school career project (let's just say, academics weren't my strong suit). But as I delved into that project, I discovered my love for all things hair and salon related. From that moment on, I set my sights on becoming a hairstylist and owning my own salon someday.

After graduating from Gene Juarez Academy in 2009, I dove headfirst into the industry, starting as a stylist at a corporate salon. Through hard work and dedication, I eventually worked my way up to management. But then came the infamous year of 2020—a time of reflection and reevaluation. It was then that I realized working for someone else wasn't where my heart truly belonged.

In July 2021, I took the leap and opened Jammin' Hair Studio, and let me tell you, I haven't looked back since. This isn't just a salon—it's the culmination of years of passion, dedication, and a dream come true.

2 Bosties and a Corgi

From on pet lover to another, let me introduce you to my fur family: Mr. Bingley and Winston (Boston Terriers) and Link (Corgi). When I'm not transforming hair, you'll find us out camping with my husband. It's where I find inspiration and recharge for creative hair magic!

Dream Vacation

Someday, my husband and I dream of exploring the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand, immersing ourselves in its natural beauty. Originally planned for our honeymoon in 2020, life had other plans, but now we're setting our sights on our 10-year anniversary for this epic adventure.

Road trips over flying

Personally, if there's a chance to drive instead of fly, count me in for a road trip any day! Sure, it might take a bit longer, but I really hate the hassle of airports and the stress of flying when I can be cruising along scenic routes, soaking in all the sights along the way!

“Julie is one of those rare people who really listen to what you want…that to me is what makes an awesome hairstylist!!!”
